🌉 Building bridges of knowledge
The financial industry is changing, so much so that it can be challenging to keep your finger on the pulse. Finscale is a podcast where you can stay up to date on the rapid pace of change, whether or not you are from the financial sector.
Whether I'm discussing how banks are coping with the new world of tokenization and greentech or foreign-exchange risk hedging with founders, CEOs or heads of banks, Finscale unpacks complex subjects in a relaxed way.
All of my French podcast subscribers will have access to the newly launched English version too.
⏪ Rewind
Before we get into some highlights, let me give you a bit of insight into what drives me to continue delivering the best advice from entrepreneurs in FinTech & InsurTech and decision-makers of financial institutions.
My experience spans investment consulting, portfolio advisory roles and business development, as well as deep regulatory expertise. This puts me in the perfect position to identify gaps and truly understand the opportunities available in traditional finance. I’m able to analyse with super stealth focus how the new world of FinTech can truly change our landscape.
The journey of launching my first company was a pivotal moment for me. When I look back, I can see that it set me on a journey which sees me now holding non-executive director (NED) positions on various boards and advising FinTech, RegTech and VCs.
My journey includes being a NED of the Hokus Platform that provides private banks and insurance companies with digital life-insurance-intermediation solutions in open architecture. When I was at Fabric Ventures, my role as a board member advising on their investment vehicles later moved into an advisory role where my remit covered implementation of the regulatory and governance framework, as well as fulfilling local regulatory requirements.
My podcast and everything I do is ultimately about building a bridge of knowledge between the old and new worlds, and capitalising on how innovation can change the financial sector forever.
💡Highlights
There’s been a rich outpouring of knowledge, idea sharing, and laughter in each episode and with every guest. Some standout moments for me were sitting down with Jean-Daniel Guyot, founder of Memo Bank, and talking about how he decided to put the relationship with customers at the heart of their banking infrastructure. Starting a bank from scratch is no easy feat, and his doing this by solving such a massive point was amazing to hear about.
Next up, with Olivier Mathiot from 2050, we looked into the evergreen fund and how we need to go back to the mission that drives our investment choices. Not to mention that this was built alongside the unrivalled entrepreneur that is Marie Ekeland. With Nickel’s Hugues Le Bret, we explored his journey on building a neo bank for the unbanked in France.
🙏 Thank you
The birth of my English podcast and growth of its French version would not be possible without the supportive and encouraging feedback from my audience. A huge shoutout to my engineers Morgan Prudhomme and his assistant Baptiste, who make this all possible, and Orso Media for supporting me. It’s been a fantastic journey, and there’s more to come!
